Wanted. Socket A, Athlon XP CPU

Looking to upgrade without going the Sempron Route (or having to buy new for that matter ;)).

Believe the Bios on this (no A drive and the FTP is permanently busy) will take up to a 3k Barton without any trouble. (asus A7N8X)

So if you've upgraded recently or are about to ditch that Socket A jobbie for a new 64bit or whatever, let me know.

Theres a 2k in the current system so any reasonable jump in performance (2600/2800 ideally) considered.

Matching memory also considered.

I have an 2000xp i think but i got rid of that to use the barton 2500 i got of anadin so i guess it would be of little use.

think i have a 2400xp somewhere and some pc4000 ram (2 x 512mbs). Had exactly the same motherboard and the thing will go to 3000xp spec with a watercooled system.

I could be interested, drop me a line with a price (might have to wait until next month though, depends on whether the council tax people try and skin me again this month). I've had trouble trying to run memory at a higher clock speed than the CPU before on this though and maybe I'm missing the obvious (or it just wont let me because the CPU and RAM are the same at 133mhz at the moment) but i don't seem able to change those settings.
