had a very good time tonight on ukd3 - S to all who flew.
thanks for putting this server on and I hope it is a sucess.
My suggestion would be to please increase the number of bases so that teams have at least 2 to chose from. on tirpitz map blue were stuck on ground as some red camped over or near the base. If we had a second base we could have taken off from there to meet them with some E. anyway a minor grumble that didnt spoil the night and I hope to be able to fly here more often

Glad you enjoyed your time. We try to set flak to discourage people from loitering over airbases so if there is a specific problem on that front please let us know the map in question. Also some of the maps are under test so again please let us know which are causing problems.

Number of airbases is VERY dependant on the map. We try to keep flight times manageable ( although on UKD3 manageable is higher than UKD2 due to it's more realistic feel ) so often have to stick with 1.

That Tirpitz map, and one after we played are in need of some sorious AAA installments... :mp5: Bandits buzz around like it's their own base. On that Tirpitz map I didn't see a single gun firing up at those 2 bandits waiting for our 4 Ju88's to fake off, nicely lined up on the runway... But when we got to targets, a whole different ball game - as it should be. Very atmosferic feeling when you fly in Ju88 5 meters above the water and lots of huge splashes all around! :cool:

Btw. Nice flying with you Delta7, and good to see you're on TS.

@kat

thanks for the reply, I have found that on closed pit servers that there is a tendency for some to hover near the enemy base as they know that they will be able to spot planes around here, so if you only have one base then it will only encourage campers. A second base, even only 2 grids away gives you options. If you are forced to limit it to one base then as thor indicated the base will need heavier flak cover.

@thor

good flying with you mate- I tried to draw those reds away from the bombers by the sofisticated method of letting them use all their ammo on me :D

TS is essential on closed pit I think , as long as others can understand my broad scots accent :rolleyes:
