View Full Version : Restricted Loadout with FMB

Hi Guys
How do I create restricted loadout for planes for online dogfight server missions?
From the code I can see where it is added but obviously each restricted loadout situations needs coding for the weapons. Please advise as to best way of doing this.

It looks like it has to be put in the ini file only and only shows when you run it online - is this correct?

Any list of phrases to use for each weapon loadout?

It's all text editing I'm afraid doc, after you made your mission in FMB all the info is saved to the mission file. e.g. dogfight1.mis

So far so basic... Cut n Paste the aircraft from this mission file into the SC ini file you have created of the same name... dogfight1.ini

I usually copy and paste a pre-existing one then rename it to my new mission's name. Then start editing the .ini file.

So I want to restrict the Bf-109G-6 to just default cannon (droptanks and bombs are still an option though.)

Each weapon code is separated from the others by a ; {semicolon}

Brcn's great SC starter tutorial has info about restrictions as well as target creation.

What I often do now is look for another scenario that I can 'poach' bits of the restrictions from and Cut n Paste them. The Bf109G6 example above is from Apennines2 but is regularly re-used as it restricts all 30mm cannon and gunpods for the G6.

Sometimes the only way to get weapon code info is to set the eventlog txt to on in IL2's conf.ini file and make your own testbed map (with all aircraft available) and host a multiplayer yourself, spawn in the aircraft and weapon load you want to restrict and this data is recorded in the eventlog.txt. Longwinded but accurate, the weaponlist thread above isn't 100% accurate as I copied it from SC's helpfile.
