League "meeting" required?

Ok guys we've been running for a couple of weeks, and while I think that mostly it has gone well, can we get together on irc/icq at some stage and thrash out a few things, like finalising the scoring system (ie draws etc) and any other points that people might have?

I know Tanx is the DB man, but if we can finalise a few things I'll make arrangements to get the League site sorted out so that it is linked to here, contains the rules and any other odds and sods that we think should be on there.

If we can sort out an evening (this week?) I'll pick up the various bits web wise and try and get it sorted out for next weekend.

I think a draw should count as 1 point for each team. But who submits it? Tanx get your thinking cap on.

Can we make Tuesday evening at 8pm then? Slats if you cant make it can you get Baj or Viking to sub for you?

Basically what I think needs clarifying so far, in order that we can do an update to the site are:

1) Finalise and agree on match rules (I think we are just about there on this) including scoring.

2) List of refs. If each clan can bring a list of people prepared to ref/have experience reffing.

3) Make it the refs responsibility to submit match scores?

4) Keep match organisation within this forum. At present we are split between here and Jolt and also within a couple of the forums within here. I'd like to get that tidied up.

5) Has everyone subscribed to the mailing list? And what it should be used for (ie do we want, say, a weekly update of results and whatnot sent out).

Can I suggest we make it Clan "captains" only so that we actually stand a chance of getting something sorted out. In addition Can Tanx (db bod), Bonehead (website) and Whinjinpom (his idea) also be there.

I suggest Irc, but am quite happy to sort out a.n other medium if that is what people prefer.

I think that we are not far off with what we are doing, but the organisation of the league needs a bit of a tidy up and the site is sorely in need of a bit of an update.

I had a cracking idea for results :)

And I can remember it!!

Both teams submit the type of result and the date. When the second team submits if the result submitted matches the corresponding teams one the result goes into the league. I'll program it in when I get a free min.

If we are meeting in Irc tonight what do I have to do in Irc to be there i.e what do I type (I apologise for my ignorance of Irc but in using it in the past I have developed a dislike for it and stopped using it. Since then I have forgotten how to use it)

after matches, it was the responsibility of the match ref / admin to submit the results of that particular match

we had an online form to fill in, when the form was submitted, it was emailed to the main man, and league tables adjusted accordingly

On Jolt tho the winning clan enters the details. This is what is going to happen to the GD tourney anyway.
