Hi mate, that's also a good looking one. :)

Forgive me the next parts, but it's my nature to point out possible problems... :(

The F4F-4 wasn't available at Wake, neither was the TBF-1. They are also a bit too good for the Japanese fighters. I don't know how necessary a torpedo bomber is.

I'm not sure Wake airfield can support the necessary number of planes, do you know if it does? If it doesn't you could/should add another runway object, possibly an air start somewhat East.

Please replace the 40mm Bofors with 0.50 Brownings, the IJN birds will be falling like leaves in autumn anyway.

The Japanese hadn't adopted air defense formations in 1942, they were losely escorting single carriers with smaller units.

Still, your Wake could be a good alternative for Midway whenever that one gets boring.

Don't talk about forgivness! That's good, thanks for your criticism!

Well, I think that Japanese fighters are to good for them (here i mean F4F-3). But ok, they are out of planeset.

Neither do I - I think we gotta test it on Multiplayer arena/.

Please replace the 40mm Bofors with 0.50 Brownings, the IJN birds will be falling like leaves in autumn anyway.

I will leave two Bofors for the American car & artillery positions and one on the airfield.

You mean that I should exchange destroyers to clippers? Sorry, but there is lack of Japanese naval units. I can change the formation (make it chaos) and low the number of escort, nothing more.

Well, Midway is not in UKD1 circle.

Corrected map will come tomorrow or monday.

Thanks for criticism again,
Fergi.

You might want to listen to JtD mate, he`s been doing UK1 maps for a very long time, he`s usually right.

We don't have a single early PTO map in the cycle!

Don't I?

We don't have a single early PTO map in the cycle!

That's why I made this map.
JtD, what did you certainly mean with those carriers formation? What should be changed?

Looks good Fergi. I've been trying to do a Wake scenario for a while now but I haven't come up with anything I ever liked.

This looks good. No need for the A6M2. Just the A6M2-21. The A6M2 is basically a A6M2-11 and aside from almost no differences in performance only saw limited service in land theaters at the very opening of the conflict anyways.

Are you sure that the Wake scenario lends itself as a mission scenario for a flight sim? There were 12 F4Fs stationed on Wake, total. Well and a PanAm Clipper, but after the first attack of G3M2s (which we don't have) already half of the F4Fs were destroyed on the ground.

Should - nothing.

You could remove a couple of the escorting destroyers, and place the rest more irregularly around the carrier(s). It doesn't matter much.

Zorin, it don't have to be 100% historical scenario.

I've got some problems with IL-2, so I can't fix the map now.

It'd still be fun. I was trying to do a 1943 version of the scenario with the first deployment of Hellcats...but I couldn't get it to feel right. Early war Wildcats and Buffalos might be more fun :)
