Has someone been messing with the bios mate?
Well my mum never uses it. My twin and myself have been away. My little brother claims he just switched it on and voila it all went to shit. God knows who did it!

Looks like the ports are messed up mate, could be a bios error could be anything, check to see if the ports are correct and if need be reset bios.

NELLIE!!!! NELLIE!!!!! get in here and help this young man!
You could try disabling the ports to start with in the bios to see if yo can get the FD working?
Failing that may I sugest some JISM? Or a rather large brick hammer liberaly applied to the frontal area will not help but I find it makes you feel much better.

Steady on old bean.
Veta, where is this message appearing? In the BIOS POST screen or when Windows is loading/loaded.
If its BIOS, what version are you running (AWARD, AMI Pro etc)?
I cant remember off the top of my head what the standard addresses should be, I'll check when I get home tonight.
The PC is running PhoenixBIOS and the messages are appearing in the BIOS POST screen.
HELP!!!
