The fun of being an adult and working is you get to buy yourself nice toys;)
My latest today is an xbox and what a deal.
GAME sold me a package with Jet set radio, Sega GT2000, Halo and Splinter cell for 199. (a standard deal)
They then agreed to me buying any used game and they would take a tenner of each game.
So for 235 quid I got all the above games plus Colin Macrae ralley 3 and Fifa World Cup 2002.
Not bad and thank you game:)
If anyone can advise on other games etc it's appreciated

Dunno if or when the UK will see it, but Shenmue 2 on the X-Box is supposed to be brilliant. I have the Dreamcast version and know how good the game is, but the the X-Box version is supposed to be miles better.

3 words. X, Box, Live. You need it. If you are on broadband, you need Xbox Live. You will be able to download extra levels for Splinter Cell for it, and I would highly suggest buying Unreal Championship if you do not own UT2K3, but please, get Xbox Live.

Yeah, you just need a network card, or plug it into an existing network and use Internet Connection Shaing (comes with windows).

SHUT UP!!! SHUT UP!!!! ALL OF YOU LEAVE ME ALONE!!!!!
:thwak:
I keep looking at the X-Box, I refuse to buy one, I even picked the box up the other day and nearly made it to the checkout with my melting credit card in my hand.
I have to resist the temptaion of the console, PC's rule. I do a littl Gameboy Advanced now and then. Nothing serious, but its not enough, you need more, I start getting the urge to play games without a keyboard. Oh I've had the counceling and the aversion therapy but I still break out in cold sweats thinking about them.
So stop saying how good they are, you will all rot your brains! YOU HEAR ME? REPENT!!!

no no noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
I used to be a hardcore pc gamer that refused to give in :D I was happy as a kid in a candy store while I was hooking up my X-Box though :) Sure, i still believe that the pc is superior for online games and FPS games, the console controls can be a bit tough after you get used to mouse/keyboard. it was the sports games that drew me in, i love them and the X-Box handles them great, I still tell people I have an X-Box for when my nephews drop in, Hell my brother and I let them play for an hour while we have a few beers laughing as they stomp on one another... then it is 4 hours of NHL2003 and NCAA football along with a 12 pack trash talking the entire time for us :)
