I really enjoyed the last coop missions, would like to do more.

Playing a rear gunner was fun, even though I didnt get to shoot anything.

This gave me an idea for a coop mission. Unfortunatly I dont have a clue on how to create them.

    Allied team

2 or 3 x B-25's (under player control, with all gunner positions filled with players.)

    Axis team

A number of AI controlled fighters.

    Targets

    Some stuff to bomb.

    Brief

Human players will be Allied team.
    AI will be Axis team.

The bombers have lost their fighter escort and have to make their way to target by themselves.

Hopefully should add up to a bit of a laugh and plenty of gunner action.

Will obviously need looking over by more experianced people but it's somthing I thought may be fun as a coop mission.

    Coop :-)

last nite I was introduced to a coop game by charliechap and I have to admit it was stunningly good. I seemed to be much more worried getting shot down and even managed to bring some bandits down.

Is this COOP for UKded members ?

would like to know more about it if possible

    Happy.

And all that taking place during a thunder storm at 6:30am. Sunrays breaking through the fog and rain once in a while creating a fantastic mood. Planes constantly shaking, bandits appearing out of the low clouds and dissapearing again. That is immersion guys.

I'm glad you liked it Chap himslef made an excellent addition to the set with his early war Battle of Malta missions, I love them.

You run a co-op server now?

    Where?

yes, there is a dedicated COOP server running now

    you can find it

    a) on HL, General Room, left side (where the dogfight servers are listed), name 102nd_COOP_ded

    b) or in All-Seeing Eye, COOP folder (yes, there is a folder like this)

I generally sugggest connecting through HL these days, because very few people actually check the COOP folder in ASE, and more human players join from HL if they see that the server gets populated

(although, on a technical note, a coop server is never empty - AI takes control of all seats not occupied by any human, so you always have quite tumultous fights regardless of the number of human players)

thx for that, just made another addition to TS with your server for the 102nd coop missions.

did one mission yesterday on my own to try it out and it was good fun. after spending all my ammo on a IL2 which i eventually brought down I landed on a airfield wondering if it was friendly when setting up for a landing.

Luckily for me no AA opened up and I was able to set her down gently on the tarmac. I needed to since I had to ask for directions and use their facilities for a toilet break

will keep an eye out on HPlobby for others and always are up for these kinds of missions.

very nicely done and great fun too. Now if I can only get my GPS working

102nd-HR-cmirko runs that server over the whole weekends, and during workdays from 4 PM until next day 7 AM (GMT + 2, continental European time)

Not quite a GPS or a radar, but I hope you know the existence of Tab + 8 + 2 command which will always ensure that you find your home base safely

a similar AI ground control command exists for finding your next waypoints (heading to target, it is called)

Yeah thx rnzoli, got the sp commands of radio well mapped and use them a lot. just need more practise in it. for most of the time I seem to be catching up to the main gaggle of friendlies. yet its immersion full realistic that makes it so great. wish more people would be online and use ts that would be great fun.
