I'd vote for the last two as well. They look great as Black and white.

    Riley

Looking at it now I could have cropped a fraction off the left hand side to equalise the space between the spotlights.

    Lighthouse at Cromerty

Thanks doc. I converted the tanker photo to B&W in Lightroom then darkened the clouds slightly in Photoshop elements. After I had taken a few photos of this I turned round and there was a nice lighthouse.

I love that photo, even the ghost in the clouds wearing shades
It just flows and draws you in. Sure ,as someone says in one of the posts here, it's what you have in front of your camera that makes an image - this photo has a great subject just wating to be photographed - but the quality of the images and the detail of the grass and everything is so sharp - drool.

Thanks doc. It's one of my favourite places in north west Scotland. I first saw the bridge as an illustration in a motoring guide and at that time I'd only just started going to Scotland and hadn't ventured that far north. When I finally visited it the location more than lived up to my expectations and over the years I've taken a lot of photos of it. There is a large car park at the side of the bridge and on it is a memorial to the submariners who died crewing the X craft during the war. The midget submarines that attacked the Tirpitz trained in Loch Cairnbawn which is what the bridge spans. I'm hoping to be back up that way toward the end of September and I'll see if I can find a new angle to photograph it from.

    Nice Blackpool shot Yellow,

Also I have been meaning to ask, where were you standing when you took the "Old and New" (Manchester - Old railway bridge and new building.) shot, I'd like to try a night time HDR shot from the same location. I have a rough idea but I don't go down to Castlefields that much, the beer is to expensive
