    I was browsing through a folder with all the old UK1 missions and I found Moonlight again. I tried to search the forum, but I cant find a description of the map. I think it could be very suitable for the Do-217.

    But only if you make it dusk otherwise it will be the server emptier it was before. Pitty, but we all know that that is the truth.

    I know the limitations of night maps Starting at 5 o'clock in the morning seems to give just enough light to see, but dark enough for atmosphere.

    On another note, can we please enable friction on homebases on all maps please? It get rid of the annoying bumpiness while taxiing.

    I need some help deciding which area is most suitable for UK1 for my Java42 map.

    I:

    II:

    I'm leaning to the first one, but the flight times may be too small, but too long on the second map.

    Planeset;

    NL;

    Buffalo MkI
    CW21
    Hurri IIb (limited)
    SBD-3 as Glenn Martin B-10

    USAAF;

    P40E (limited)
    A-24 (Army SBD-5)

    IJA:

    Ki-43c
    Ki-21

    IJN:

    Zero Rufe
    Zero-21 (limited in the air)

    The first one for sure. Flight times should be pretty close to perfect for UK-1. On the shorter side but somewhat matched to the slower cruising speed for the early war types. I think the second map is much too long for UK-1... that's roughly 80km by eyeballing it and it's not quite double the norm.

    I might suggest switching the P-40E out for the P-40B or C. The E is probably the dominant fighter on the list here... turn and burn not but if I were me I would just climb up to 3000 meters and pounce on the furball below.

    I've sent in Crete, Kiev46 and Stalingrad Winter for implementation and upload to the server. Sometime soon those should be in rotation. Let me know how they play out! In the meantime I'm working on some Pacific maps: Iwo Jima, Luzon45 and Tarawa.

    The idea was to limit both the P40E and Zero-21, becaue both planes are uber compared to the rest. I choose the P40E because that is what the Americans flew in the area after the fall of the Philippines. The Hurricane is limited because the Dutch only had 12 that were redirected after the fall of Singapore.

    I'm also going to add a few flights of AI only planes that where historical in the area, like P36's, B17E's and Catalina's evacuating personel to Australia, Emilies etc, just to spice things up a bit.

    I would say the first 1. Slow planes can have small flight times.

    I just found my Biscay43 MDF conversion for UK3. I just opened it and it can be easily converted if you guys whant, I only need to add moving red ships.

    For the planeset I suggest:

    Red:

    Mossie
    Beaufighter
    B24
    Catalina
    Swordfish (on Hunter Killer group target escort carrier)
    Emily as Sunderland

    Blue:

    110G2
    Ju88A-17
    He111H-6
    FW-200
    Arado seaplane thingie

    Thoughts?

    edit; And for the SCW winter map I'm working on, is 3 grids to target too much? There's 5 grids between the bases,more or less opposed to each other, with the main targets in the middle. R-5's and S-328's will be included as main bombers.

    edit2; Picture

    Is there anybody with a bit of time and the ability to host, so we can do a little play testing ?

    I was wondering, can we have a mission where the human players play for a single side only?

    Could be fun. Germans intercepting a huge formation of b17's perhaps?

    Sort of. Do we have the ability to specify the type of aircraft that needs to be destroyed to win the battle or is there only the general setting for the overall number of planes?

    Do you think this would be problematic due to the nature of moving targets or shall we venture into the field of radar and radio guidance? Might be a bit too much for UKded1?

    Not problematic at all. Ill just make a huge formation that takes an hour to get from point A to B, all bombers set to veteran to make it hard and add loads of escort fighters. Done!

    Well, we are talking about a mission where all players spawn on the same side, so...
