Seeing that you produce numerous other missions, I take this is well advanced by now?

Depends on how realistic you want the target to be

As realistic as a reasonable time schedule permits.

Perhaps you have a progress shot so we can see how far it has matured already depending on which we can decide what is left to be added or changed to suit the needs of the mission.

I vote for a simplified, non- historical village that follows the general outline of the texture beneath it. I can pump out such a village in an hour, while it would take me several hours/days if I do it realistically.

I thought there was no texture below as it doesn't actually exist on the map?

Anyway, I am sure you know what you are doing. Just give word when you are done with it so we can start to look for a new date, advertize and check with the ones already registered if that date suits them. That will be a time consuming process, so let us know in due time.

I will give updates when I work on it, just not every day

The texture where the village will comes has dirt tracks, it kind of looks like the layout of a small village. Ill 'trace' the tracks with road plates. This is a lot faster than copying the layout of the real village. Effect will be the same from 3000m up

Also, the railworks are not 100% historical. Its very hard to make out on the photographs, so I will put something there that looks realistic.

    Guys,

New to the forum but picked this thread up whilst doing a little research.

What ever happened to this project?

My Father was on this mission, Circus 27 on 30th June 1941, the 18 Blenheims were pretty much used as bait as they were escorted by over 15 Squadrons of fighter aircraft from 5 or 6 different Wings.

This meant that whilst the German's knew they were there, they were a little reluctant to take part as they were effectively being goaded up by the fighters for a bit of a scrap.

Would obviously be interested in this thread but also anything else you have on the Blenheim.

    Regards,

    Nick

Nick it sort of stalled tbh, we weren`t sure that the Spit in the game had the range to reach the target area, fight and return. Shame really because we have done a lot of historically based missions here down the years but nothing with the Blenheim. Perhaps one of our more motivated dedicated mission builders would like to take it on, we had all the aircraft skins made for us by outside sources, would be a shame not to finish this off , especially as you`ve turned up and your dad was on the actual trip. THOR might like to have a look, he organises and runs the dedicated mission side of things, I`m sure the fact that your dad was involved would make him very interested. All the best and sry for the late reply.
