    You also notice the spider was all made from a 3D printer.

    Yeah, but I think that is because it is/was low volume "prototype". ABS injection moulds cost a small fortune, better get it right the first time, and until you do, 3D printing is a good low volume alternative

    That said, i was also hoping to find similar plans on thingiverse and some arduino based controller to drive 20 or whatever servo's (less than $2 per servo from hobbyking), but what I found so far doesnt come close to this one.
