    Here is a discussion of Syn_Blackrat and HaBu about setting up the server's bandwidth. link

    Bone head should know about the available bandwidth and the hardware of Battle Field's BOS servers.

    If you are going to buy online why not do it and help B-F keep going at the same time!

    Dont foget one of the servers has much more muscle than the other regarding processor power and ram etc.

    After getting in contact with one of the old hands. Optimum Settings for the BOS Permament Servers need to be based on bandwidth, along with CPU muscle and the frequency.

    Bone will send you a PM with the Conversation, Specs to make sure we're on the right track.

    ILooking at the TS Channels I guess Bone Head once ran a Rise of Flight server. I think BOS should not exceed the settings for that one.

    This is from HaBu's SDS file, which he posted in the Blood in the Skies thread:

    Code:
    // connection settings

    protection = ""
    maxClients = 49
    maxClientPing = -1
    ExternalIP = 1
    ServerIP = ""
    DownloadLimit = 502400
    UploadLimit = 502400
    DownloaderPort = 28100
    TCPPort = 28000
    UDPPort = 28000
    and this is from the ROF manual (here connection settings are made in startup.cfg):

    Code:
    [KEY = network] // Insert IP address, connection speed and port numbers
    client_download_traflimit = 1000
    client_ip = "<your IP address here>"
    client_upload_traflimit = 1000
    downloader_port = 28100 ** Leave as is
    server_download_traflimit = 100000
    server_upload_traflimit = 100000
    tcp_port = 28000 // Leave as is
    udp_port = 28000 // Leave as is

    We did run a ROF server although it was nver used much so I never needed to tweak the settings.
    From Tip's PM it would seem that BoS might be bandwidth hungery :/

    Well somehow I wiped out UK1's Custom Server .sds when making some network speed changes for tomorrows Dedicated Mission. Following a brief moment of !@# as I could not get it running again so I copied over the custom .sds from UK2. Okay that solved the problem for UK1.

    However now both of them will not run at the same time even though I made sure the IP settings are different/correct "I believe" for each machine within the .sds.

    To make a long story short UK_1 will be up for tomorrows Friday Night Bomber Flight. Then going to need some help on Getting UK2 back up and running as well.
    Good Night.

    I just started them both, although it seems when one starts the other stops?
    If thats the case maybe they are both using the same key cant remember if the key is in that file?

    I think I fixed it, both files had the same login details in them. Both should be running again now.
