    Time to Shut Up Shop

    Hi guys

I feel B-F and the forum in general has finally fizzled out.Coming up to 21 years old its time to pull the plug.

Its been a pleasure. Live long and prosper

I joined 13 years ago and the forum/servers were buzzing, it's a real shame it's fizzled out. Real life and family tend to win in the end.

I met a lot of good people here and have fond memories of those IL2 days when I spent hours at a time flying with them as well, the banter made it half the fun.

Thanks Bone for all your hard work keeping the show on the road for so long, you're a real gent, it's been pleasure to have been here during the hey day.

Spent many times on this forum. No regrets, made some good friends here and on our servers. All good things come to end, eventually.

I guess steam channel will continue, I see no reason why it shouldn't.
Ill still be knocking around and will still be up for a game.
Ive still got a rack full of servers so I intend to keep the gliding server going for skinny as I enjoy that too. If he is still around. I think commercialism has torn the heart out of traditional forums. The likes of dischord, steam and facebook are harvesting data on every player and making money from it. I guess im just old fashioned.

Unless the the hardware dies beforehand Ill probably turn it off begining of November, on the sites 22nd birthday Bit sad really, its going to be like pulling the plug on a life support machine

13 years for me as well. Barely played anything for the last 2 years. Met some good folks, in the flesh as well as online. Spent thousands of hours on our servers, getting angry, kicking Russians, laughing with my mates, good times mostly.

This I have to say is very sad. I have had such amazing times with everyone evolved in BF and I and I hope all our paths will cross in the future. A massive thank you to Bone for all your efforts to keep this community going over the years and to everyone here I hope we all keep in touch what ever the weather. I am so glad to have been part of this. Thank you one and all.
