Nice job ! Especially the photos from a cockpict. I would only say that some bombers are to close according to one-wing rule.
Also I don't get the No-level stabilisator rule in formations ? Actually i can't imagine long range missions without it, (longest I flew was almost 4 hours without couple minutes, and once proper maps will be available 8h+ for Berlin and back) and i find the flying on stabilisator within the formations much easyer. Just my 2 cents. |

Hi Tank, glad you liked it.
Let me answer your questions/comments: The bombers aren't too close, trust me. We had externals during those flights and everything is just like it should be. Hence the screenshots. Screenshots I proveded in the subdirectories that feature external shots are not all from the same moment when in-cockpit shots were taken. LVL STAB must never be used during formation flying. I have stated specificaly when and who can use it. Unless you have a gamepad, you must fly without it. This was done in real life. Of course, use little judgment - realy close formation doesn't need to be flown at all times. Only when you enter enemy territory. If you use level stab for formation flying, then you haven't flown in a proper formation in IL2 yet. ![]() |

Well actually i created the formation on a ground concrete airfield to have some grid and measured it precisely and i got slightly different results. Thats all.
Regarding LVS, i do not recognize big difference between gamepad and analog trims situated on most HOTAS joys of these days. You call it impossible, I say that its possible to stick with leader on X ranges close to 0 or even less on some axis on LVS in straight flight with ease. |
